Nintendo switch has been out of stock at every major retailer since like... Thursday or something.... So yeah, not much I can do.

Only gift I was really looking to get this year and it's for my kids.

Wife and I don't get gifts since we buy whatever we want. If anything for stuff like anniversary we take a trip somewhere.

Oh well. I guess I'll just be boring and invest the extra cash instead of being a good little consumer.

Planning on grabbing a couple Steam games but that's about it.

Blew most of my wad on Prime Day! :p

I see the i7-9700k I got for the kid is still $200 since Black Friday. I just picked up a 970 EVO 1TB SSD for myself (it's only $30 more than the 500GB version I got for my other kid 4 short months ago).

I feel like the whole weekend of deals mesh together since everything's online, but at least it's still the best time of year to buy.

I haven't seen any "deals" worth bothering with. Most stuff I looked at has really only been $20-$50 off the normal selling prices.

All the good stuff doesn't really go down in price.
I have a theory that some consumer goods manufacturers are still having major supply chain issues and would not be able to keep up with demand if they discounted their products this year so the deals this year are not nearly as good as they were last year.

I would agree since all the stuff I want isn't in stock. So that matches your theory. :)

Dude ours is past the point of getting warmed up. At this point it's starting to warp from the heat and give off that burnt plasticy smell....I fear that any moment it could literally just burst into flames. I only hope that I'm not physically holding it in my hand when it finally goes or god forbid it be in the back pocket of my pants.

I spent $10 total today buying Uncharted 4 for the PS4. I've been trying to buy this title for like 6 months now and for some strange reason, it was very difficult to find for lower than $16. It was like Sony stopped making this title or something while continuing to produce other Greatest Hits games. Luckily, Bestbuy had it for sale today for $10 and I was able to pay with PayPal to collect additional 5% cb through Chase Freedom quarterly boost. The only bad thing is I have to actually go to Bestbuy to pick it up. I haven't been to Bestbuy in years.

Didn't even look at anything. I think I'm pretty good on everything I need, though I probably need more carabiners. Seems like every time I get one or two more to finally finish out my gear, I need another one for something else :^S

Ibuypower's phone lines have been jammed all day. I'm starting to question when I'm actually going to get this cheap gaming PC that I ordered on Black Friday :(

Bought a side window panel for my Define R6 for like 5 bucks off, because I’m apparently turning 15 today. I remember buying one for my Antec 300 when I was actually 15. Other than that .. got my 3080 and CX 48 so I’m done. Somehow finished with gift shopping too or just about.

I've actually refrained from buying anything for a while now. My last big purchase was my 2 4k monitors and the accessories that went with it (monitor arms, some converter adapters etc). I justify that as being due to working from home which is partially true... but it's not like it got reimbursed by the company or anything it was still something I wanted for myself, and to avoid dragging my work monitors back and forth, as we still need to be in office too.

Might need to put a little heat sink on the chip lol.

I don't think that's the cooler. That's where the cooler mounts. Must have been open box if it didn't come with one.

Yeah that's just the chip package itself. Some really hardcore shoppers will even delid it before applying a heat sink for even better cooling.

If there's a copay for the covid test I took today before a procedure at the hospital on Thursday, that's my big holiday weekend expenditure
