Computer Geeks Outlet is including an mp3 starter/accessory kit with purchase of the $99.00 Genica personal CD/MP3 Player. I bought one of these back in may when they were offering an advanced purchase before official launch and soon realized I would have to buy the accessory kit as the CDMAN car adapter i have (as well as my cell phone adapter) would not fit the jack. The player is great, i have no complaints about playback. It sounds awesome, i barely use my indash cd player anymore. The accessory kit comes with 10 blank CD-R's to get you started a cd wallet, headphones etc. This is a great affordable CDMP3 deal, as most other CDMP3 players out now are hovering around the $200 mark.

the accessory kit is usually $25 bux before shipping. Apparently you get the whole package for 97.50 shipped! A much better deal than what i got 4 months ago.

You can just go to www.compgeeks.com and search for Genica. If you add the player to the cart you'll notice at the bottom of the info page it says all the accessories are included...

and with regard to the quality of the player. I haven't had one problem with it in the 4 months I've owned it. Its been dropped, scratched, banged up, it still plays flawlessly. The only thing to be careful of is not to plug it into an a/c or car adapter if you have batteries in it. The battery life isn't great, but since i mainly only listen to it in the car, or somewhere there's an outlet i can snuggle next to it's not been a problem.

Yea, I had one, and it sounded real good in headphones. In my Explorer was another story....
Good price though. I paid like $135 shipped for mine with the accessory pack..

I went all the way through to the point of actually purchasing the cd player and there was no mention of Acc Pack. Any ideas?

phillips expanium? it seems to have better ergonomics, ie better buttons and probably has a decent lid spring mechanism, and it looks nicer than the generic ones like the genica, but in terms of durability, the genica already seems pretty durable, so no gain in that aspect likely...

all i have to say, is that the expanium doesn't support ID3 tag display. definitely not worth $100 more.

<<go with the ijam ij-833 or eclectic cp200 instead >> aren't these solid state memory players? This is a cd player, I will probably buy it even without the accessories, but it would nice to get them thrown in :)

okay, ive looked as much as possible, but the ijam 833 seems to be not available anywhere. It looks really really cool, with a fatty lcd disply that shows the mp3 id tags, somethiing most mp3 cd players are lacking. anyone know anything about the availability of this player?
