I don't seem to be able to find many places that sell this monitor save Amazon. Regardless, I found this in Sonystyle.com's clearance section.

Link to Sonystyle.com. Even though it's under the Clearance / Refurbished section, it appears to be new. Additionally, overnight shipping is free.

If this "deal" isn't quite so warm, please say so and I'll change the topic accordingly.

I have one Trinitron and those are the best CRT monitors around, seems like a great deal to me. The important question is - is this a new monitor? The info on this site is sort of confusing.

Here's the Link to the monitor from the "shopping cart"
Sony E200
Seems like it would have a 1yr warranty & is New.
Your right though, the page is confusing.
They should put them on seperate pages.
(New vs. Refurb.)
:)

My shopping cart is adding $11.25 for overnight shipping, which isn't bad for shipping
any CRT. The first page shows "FREE" overnight shipping though.

Tempting.
The shipping comes free for me though. I got a new Samsung just two weeks ago, it is kind of fast to spend more money for a new monitor now but this is the deal, no doubt. Why just one warranty, strange?

It's not really flat but almost(!)
About quality, it is superb for a CRT 17''. You can hardly find better in my opinion. If this is new, not refurbished, this is a great deal. Plus Sony 's reliability is legendary. And no coupons apparently, straightforward price.

Sony 's reliability is legendary??

NOT from my experience.

My Sony VCR started to eat tape after about 9 months (I hardly used it too).
My Sony 32" TV just went bad 3 weeks ago (No picture, just sound).
I also have 2 dead 17" Trinitron in my garage.

Talking about monitors here. Sony makes all sorts of things. From your point of view you should stop buying Sony. I have only one 17'' Trinitron and it is easily the best monitor I have (currently one 19'', three 17'' and one 15''). I'd surely wouldn't buy any other brand if only the prices of Sony's monitors weren't so high. As for user's satisfaction check this:

Used my Sony 400PS (19 inch) for over 3 years now and its been flawless. Picture still looks like new when I bought it. I do think Sony monitors have a corner on reliablility. Too bad I can't afford another one right now. I'm buying a Samsung 19 inch for my other home system but if I had the money it would be another Sony.
