These are some very sweet deals here. Thanks for reminding us.

I got a couple of 'refurb' USB 2.0 pcmcia cards that came in new packaging, and could not be distinguished from new.
The 4 port router for $10.49 and the
Firewire PCI card for $6.99 are among the many appealing deals.

Re the 'repost': technically yes, however worthy of renewed attention. Last thread was from the end of May (per a search for "belkin").

May I suggest that you edit the title to include "at Belkin web site" or "direct from Belkin" such that those of us who already know about it can better choose whether or not to skip the thread.

I bought quite a bit of networking and accessories from belkin. and so far it's been kind of sketchy for me. I ordered 4 10/100 4 port routers. Two of them were DOA, the others worked. I also ordered 1 PCMCIA and 1 CardBus 10/100 nics. the PCMCIA nic was DOA, windows detected it as a memory card, and got a yellow bang. the cardbus nic worked fine, except that the stupid dongle is broken, and now i cant remove it from the slot.

It's worth it to buy the stuff because it's cheap. But it's just agravating that you buy hardware RIGHT from the manufacturer and it's DOA. I could understand if it was compgeeks, but sheesh. The upside is that it has a lifetime warranty so you're fine. But if you're going to buy it to install in a customers network or someone elses network, make sure it works perfectly else you'll look dumb when installing it ;)

Wow ringzero, that's a bad run of luck on the hardware. I've had great luck with Belkin hardware, but I've only gotten one item through the direct refurb deal (USB NIC) and it works just fine. How did Belkin take care of the DOA equipment? Did they cover shipping and replace the product or issue a refund?

I got in on their refurb router when it was still 29 ;). So many people must have bought it that they hit it up to 50, still, a very very nice wireless router.
