<< grrr. I usually like powerDVD, but I have found that i cant play each channel separately (very useful for viewing overseas VCD's). How could they leave out this basic feature? Boo. >>



Are you talking about when those (mostly illegal hehheeheh) overseas VCD's have two audio channels encoded, like english on the right and chinese on the left or whatever? Just adjust your soundcard so it only outputs to the left (or right) speaker and mutes the other.

Actually, Chinese DVD's have Manderin and Cantonese discretely on the left and right channels.

I bought this from newegg a few weeks ago when I bought my dvd player. It has all the video options enabled but is lacking in the audio. It only provides 2 channel audio which mean only two speaker support excluding headphones. It does not have dolby digital or anything fancy. You must purchase the additional audio packs from cyberlink.

You cannot find a better player for the money if you just want to play dvds and aren't too worried about the sound.

And purchasing this OEM version, plus the Packs from Cyberlink is less expensive than buying the deluxe version to begin with 🙂
