It's not a price increase. Compaq was selling it direct for $999, Tiger Direct has it for $1300.

I'm wary of TigerDirect's specs though. They list the procs as 933MHz P3 Xeons with 512KB of L2.
According to Intel, there's no such animal, which means that these are likely 256KB L2 procs and
therefore only P3 procs in a Slot 2 cartridge. If I want to put a P3 into a Slot 2 motherboard, I'll use
the adapters that came with my S2DGU, I won't blow my money on overpriced psuedo-Xeons.

Still, for a moment I wished I had $1500 to buy one ;)

Yes....these are known as fake Xeons.....or Xerox Xeons as I have seen them called......The server deal from Dell was much better than this....even though it only came with one cpu.
