Was about to order my new PCP&C PSU from the manufacturer directly, but called fry's and they told me it was 159 in store... I was thinking maybe they got the 750W confused with the 610W (the 610W MSRP's @ 159) but I popped into my local Fry's and ended up picking it up at that price. Not a bad deal if you were already going to buy one anyway. The only color they have is the copper finish, but after seeing it in person it doesn't look so bad. Enjoy.

I know PC&C are some of the best PSUs out there... but how does say an Antec NeoHE or a TruePower stand up against PC&C?

I just browsed a whole bunch of San Jose-area Fry's ads and didn't see it advertised anywhere in print/pdf. I don't imagine that it's their everyday price, but there's no indication of when the sale ends. So if you need one, get it quick! I picked mine up at the Campbell store, and there were only like 3 more on the shelf.
I didn't think mine did either, but when I was on PCP&C's ordering page on their website, it said:
"PC Power & Cooling has expanded its distribution to to include select retail stores.
The Turbo-Cool 1KW, Silencer 750, and Silencer 610 power supplies are currently in stock at Fry's Electronics."

as corporate thug said, yep. from the more popular brands, enermax is one of the few that sells psu under their brand only. everyone else like antec, pcp&c, corsair, ocz, silverstone have different manufacturers.
I hope it stays this price for at least a week or two until I can scrounge up the cash.

I called Burbank and they told me their system was down so they couldnt check price and they were too busy to check the shelf :roll:
I'm heading over to my local Fry's tomorrow. If they have this price on the Silencer 750 then it's mine and I don't have to worry about PS's for another couple years.
