There are better prices out there on occasion... but these already have 3 pin tails on them (and they'll sell you a 3 to 4pin adapter for $0.89).

Also, check out their specials--they vary from time to time... I got a OCSystem modified ATI 8500 (275/275!) for $120 not to long ago.

Sorry, but not even warm. This site has the same fan for $3.25 and/or 10 for $25.00, instead of the 5 for $23.00 on your link. I think I have seen even better but this site is one of the better ones.

<<<edit>>> dohs, Buz beat me to it!

Better Deal

Forgive my ignorance, but are these fans significantly quieter than the ones you buy at the computer show for $5?
My P4 system whines alot, and I'd like to quiet it down.
I think most of the noise comes from the CPU fan - got a Thermaltake HSF on it....any good replacement fan that would be quieter for that at SVC?
Appreciate the help.

I bought one of those Panaflos from SVC for $3.25 - which is a great deal - along with some "glow in the dark" round ata100 cables for $5.50 and a Vantec Stealth (supposed to be even quieter for the amount of air it pushes than the panaflo) for the OK - not fantastic - price of $7.99.

The Panaflo is unquestionably quieter than most case fans, but most of that is at the expense of air flow. The rotors move slower! Depending on model, you can expect 20 cubic feet/min vs (for example) 35 for a more common (noisier) case fan. The Vantec claims 27CFM without any more noise than the Panaflo (but for more bucks).
Another company (forget the name) is coming out with a new supersilent fan that has the motor on the outside edge intstead of on the central axis = more air flow.

One comment about the panaflo from SVC: It wasn't in a box or anything. It was just tossed in with the rest of the stuff I ordered. It didn't look used at all, but at that price I wonder if it was stripped from some system.

Yes, but these are also 80mm fans. What size is the one on your cpu cooler (HSF)? I imagine it is a 60mm, but if not, you could use one of the L1A's and reduce the noise considerably. You'd have to monitor the temps to see if there was any adverse effect, but it would be worth a shot (if you can use the 80mm).
As far as other options, SVC also has the New YS-Tech TMD Cooler for $19.99 + shipping. Check out the new fan design on that one! Only 33dBA and it moves about 30cfm of air. They also have just a low noise 60mm YS-Tech fan for $4.99 + shipping if you just want to change out the fan and do need a 60mm one. Heck, just check out their site; I'm starting to sound like a commercial for them and I don't even work for SVC. 🙂

Not a pull, it was new I'm sure. That is how most fans (that are sold "bulk") are packaged. Only when spending more money on something like the YS Tech do you get a box or similar packaging. Who needs it anyway? BTW, the TMD cooler I mentioned above is the one with the fan motor on the outside of the fan.

I agree with this because I've gone to their store and actually saw the big brown boxes of panaflo's. The place looks like a run-down shack but their stuff looks legit.

One major issue though that's going to limit the advantage of the TMD (or any "quiet" CPU fan) is, from my experience, a major chunk of the noise comes from the air being forced through the heat sink.
More CFM = much more noise, no matter how quiet the fan mechanism is.
That said, better than nuthin.
