Staples has it for $220.
Price match with amazon that has it for $180
use the $30/150 copun and that should give you $160-$165 with shipping/tax

very good players, with remote, 64mb disk, fm, and mic recoarable.

I have this MP3 player, it's great. My only problem with it is there's no internal memory, so it only holds 64MB of MP3s. A year ago I paid $270 for it!

<< unless you buy a new 128mb card. >>

The Nomad II does not currently support 128MB SmartMedia (but the Nomad II MG does). Word is Creative is seeing if its possible for the Nomad II to support 128MB media through a firmware upgrade, but things are looking promising (see further down this post).

Google search for info on the Nomad II and 128MB cards

That being said, personally, I love my Nomad II, partly because I got it for $50 in a killer deal a long time ago on a dealboard far, far away. 64MB media prices finally reach the $50 mark so I can finally get a few more cards.

I need to do better research before I post. I just read this on Google Groups. Note that the Creative Labs employee's response is dated today.

Thats just the same old stuff. I'm waiting for a new firmware version for the Nomad II that
supports SmartMedia 128MB!

It should be out today. I agree that the file versions that are showing are not correct. Regardless you will have 128MB support very soon.

Yep, a great little MP3 player, but don't expect to be swapping those smartmedias like cartridges just because they're cheap... it became tedious for me after a while, because the battery case is so hard to open; that's where the smartmedia card resides (it's not a bad thing that it's hard to open, just if you want to continuously switch cards). I use it for the occasional drive anyway, and when you run out of songs, you have the FM radio to work off of.
