There's no rebates so the fact that it's TD shouldn't matter as much as it usually does.

My thought, exactly. The counter argument being, I suppose, that with an LCD screen and back-lighting, battery life (i.e., a dead battery) would represent a Big Problem to a gamer.

On my Logitech wireless kb, rechargable batteries last about three months 'til I have to swap them out. Maybe they could make a wireless version of the G15 with two battery sets: one for basic keyboard/wireless use (lasting months as my current one does), and another set for the backlight and display -- they can certainly give you enough warning for you to get the room lights back on! [Note: they would have to add a wireless receiver for the display... but would that drain the batteries very fast?)

Might be cheaper at this place if you get no tax.
It is strange how they look like the same company, but Global Computer doesn't charge tax for me.
I swear they were the same company... I guess I was wrong.

I reevaluated the site and a lot of it is the same. I bet they are sister companies or something. Just located in different states. Anyways before you go searching for the sale tax info, both sites do NOT list sale tax information unless you go to the checkout. Yes, it is not found in the help section as clicking on sales tax does nothing.

Why not? ;)

Seriously though, the LCD can display information for particular games that have a profile for it that might not always be available on your display.

In addition, it has backlit keys (cool at night) and 18 programmable "G" keys so you can macro to your heart's delight.

What's the point of the LCD? Sure it may display info like how much ammo you have but that is what the in game hud is for.
Taking your eyes off the screen to look are your keyboard is noobish.

Global owns Tiger ... I use to work for another company that Global bought ... Midwest Micro/Infotel. That is were the Systemax PC were assembled and how Global went from just parts and peripheals to selling PCs. That location (in OHIO) has now been absorbed by Tiger (in FL) while Global is out of NY. So if if live in FL or OH Tiger would probably charge you tax. If you live in NY then Global would charge you tax. And when this happenned they ran Midwest Micro/Infotel pretty much into the ground. Not a fun place to work after that. We felt the same way about Tiger too then. Hope that clears it up .. used my first post to do so. :)

Interesting - I live in Ohio, but Tiger doesn't charge me tax.
