While I was looking around to purchase an Ipod I saw that microcenter has the Ipod Photo 60 gig version with the dock and AV cord for only $400 bucks. Its normally $480 and just $100 more than a normal 20 gig Ipod.

Don't know how good of a deal this is to most of you, but it was good enough for me to buy and I just thought I'd share

400$ is a damn good deal for a photoipod 60gb. That's cheaper than the education price.

but it doesn't come with a dock and cables. it just says there's a link to them.

when I went into the store and bought it I was suprised to find out that it does come with the dock and cables. I (stupidly) asked the clerk if he was sure that the full set was for $400 and he said yes, and it rang up at $400.

The guy said it was the package before the price drop. The ipod is the same but it was at a much higher price before because it came with the cables and dock. My guess is they're just trying to get rid of the old expensive package deal.

Seems like a pretty good deal. I just got my first ipod from my wife for Father's Day. It's actually sitting in the unopened box. She got the 40g (refurb) at smartbargains.com for $349. I wanted to ask - is it a no brainer to pony up the extra $50 to get into this deal? Seems like it to me, but I just wanted to ask you guys first.

The photo dock is listed as a seperate $40 accessory. Can anyone else confirm they are actually shipping these with the dock for $400? I want to place an order today, but I'd like to confirm exactly what they are shipping.
