These are awesome speakers. Not a bad price either. I got mine a few months ago for about $50 and that was with some coupons and such. Id say in between warm and hot.

I think the x-530 is a step up from the 640... how much is another question... If I remember right, the satellites on the x-530 is a little better... Its like going from an 02-03 ford f-150, same shell, but modifications to the innards...
