Los Angeles Area Fry's have the OEM AMD XP 2000+ and a K7s5aPro for $69. Not as hot as the retail 1800+ for $59 IMO, but still pretty good to upgrade an aging beast.

you guys think these XPs are Tbred Bs? I sold my (non-pro) K7S5A for $30 a week ago. Used it for 6 months (worked great except for the occasional CMOS reset, happened once every 1.5~2 months) and sold it cause I wanted to try a NForce 2 board.

the pro version of the k7s5a is awesome. i've had zilch problems with it yet. $70 seems to be the price for this combo every other week, but it's still a darn good deal.

In Bay Area, these have been Tbred Bs for a while now. I doubt they've somehow gone back to selling As.
[EDIT: ymmv by location, apparently]

The pro version of the k7s5a that the Industry store had was rma city. I had a total of four DOA's out of ten. Three I returned and one I sent to ECS because it was after the return period specified by Fry's. Once you get them started they are fairly solid. I went through at least 15 non-pros from Industry without a problem. Lately I've been buying them from the Anaheim store that has good boards. The bad boards at Industry were probably a local problem. I have been in contact with other sys builders that have mixed results. QC at ECS is not Asus, or Abit. RMA at ECS is fast and not a hassle.
