Most of the hot new releases are gaurenteed in stock at hollywood video. But if you try to rent it out on a weekend they are never available. You can get a free raincheck coupon if you ask for them. And you can go back later and get it. I have gotten traffic, Vertical limit etc for free. You can make this sweeter by returning the movies within a day and get a dollar off on your next rental.

Yeah, that'd be a much better title. Try not to be so misleading pennywise, the title really got my hopes up! :(

OK I changed the title but normally rental on a new movie costs arount $4 at hollywood. If you can get it for free and a dollar off coupon on top of it that would be a hot deal for me.

Thanks for posting Pennywise!!!

I have been to HV and checked the shelves for the "guaranteed in stock" videos but it didn't occur to me to try it on a weekend.... duh :)

Great tip :)

Don't try that trick at Blockbuster. I know that they keep their "guarantee" at the front counter so when you ask, they give you a copy. And you're too embarrass so you ended renting it.

At hollywood I got Charlie's Angel free. Be sure to go the first two weekend it's release.

miko, you are right about Blockbuster. Everytime I want to rent their 'gaurenteed in stock' DVD, I've to ask the front counter. I thought the workers there are lazy to put those DVDs on the rack but now i know this is their trick.

goes for the same thing at blockbuster, you'll just have to wait some time though for the DVD to come back in stock.

this is a fair deal.

I have a raincheck right now in my pocket for Traffic on DVD, they've been out all week!
