I have an order with them for the same card with a different package for $247 but it is back ordered. I sent them a message asking if i could change to this one. We'll see if they go for it.

I wouldn't order from them. It took them a whole week minus one day (New Years Day) from the time I clicked "order" and payed by credit card, to finally ship my Galaxy 8800GT. About half the time was them "verifying" my order to make sure my credit card "funds" were there. Now I have all my components for my computer except my graphics card, and that won't be getting here till probably Monday.

Stay away imo. Not hot.

A week is still considerable faster than Dell. I ordered the MSI 8800GT 512MB OC from Dell on 11/26/2007 and it still hasn't arrived yet. I ended up cancelling the order the other day, after over a month of waiting.

I wasn't happy to see this was NCIXUS, but DELL has further delayed my order to the 30th (ha) and since it's an eVGA I went and sprung for it. Step up assurance for spring nvidia product releases will be nice.

this a good deal and NCIX is a good etailer...I have never had a problem with them. If you are complaining that orders weren't shipped in a timely manner during the holidays then you must be hell in the check out lines.

it isn't just that they weren't shipped out in a timely manner, it is that they were significantly delayed and no notification was given to people placing new orders even though they knew they had a mountainous backlog. all in all, it wasn't handled too well. i like ncix too but maybe you (if you haven't) should take a look at the NCIXUS Forums => Holiday/Boxing Week Order Processing Delays link thread. some people seem to have real problems.

This was exactly my experience. I ordered on Dec.18th, and as of today, my order is still pending. Ditto on the lack of notification, verification problems, etc., which is really poor customer support.

I'm not in a hurry to get the 8800GT, but I will also probably never order from NCIX again. They aren't even close to in the same league as other online vendors.

The fan is hardwired on this card to 100%, ie there is no black wire connecting from the card to the fan.

That's why no bios flashes, no RivaTuners, etc work. It's uber loud. Time to turn off my PC and go to bed; this is basically as loud as my previous rig (which I dumped because it was so noisy).

Three questions:

1. Modular said Crysis is shipped with it, I don't see it online. Is it true or not?
2. Title says 1.8GHz memory. GT cards normally come with 2.0GHz rated memory, does this card come with 2.0GHz ram clocked at 1.8GHz, or does it come with 1.8GHz chips "native"?
3. If I buy it, I would want to buy Accelero S1 heatsink and ramsinks to it. Do I need anything else besides RAM sinks? Will mosfets be cooled adequately?

eVGA doesn't care about overclocking, they will not ask. Most of the cards they sell are factory overclocked.
