As a heads up, this is the price on the Australian site. I've heard of many people in the US getting a sales rep on the phone to price match it. I am, unfortunately, not one of those people. :(

From what I have read it is a much lighter anti glare coating than what was on the U2711, which some people said caused the screen to "sparkle". I got the U2713HM and it the ag coating looks fine on it.

I agree, the AG coating on this monitor is great. I had a samsung monitor before I got this one and the AG coating on the sammy made white backgrounds look grainy.

I don't think it's heavy on mine. Seems a bit lighter than my old 2005fpw and much lighter than my LG at work

It's funny you mention the 2005fpw because I love mine (although my wife has commandeered it).

In your humble opinion is the U2713HM a worthy successor?

I was seriously considering the $400 + free $75 GC but Dell.com.au changed the price on this monitor back to $799 :(

I got mine on Newegg for $550 about 3 weeks ago and that's the lowest that I have ever seen any of the Dell 27" monitors.
