Yeah they got something similar to that here in canada, it is $200 canadian at futureshop, I think I might pick one up cause I am out of space on my seagate drive, though I might wait till the price for seagate drives comes down.
 
Anyone know which ATA100 controller is good? I still have an Asus P2B-S mbd that supports UDMA33 hdd only.
 
yea i agree. i did the seagate barracudaIV 80gig deal. but i have to wait for a 50$ rebate from outpost.com 🙁
 
I saw the Outpost deal last week, but don't like waiting for rebates. I rather pay a little more and get the discount now.

You don't need to use an ATA100 controller to use this HD, your onboard ATA33 controller will work just fine. But if you really want to get one you could get a maxtor one for around $25 shipped in the FS/T forum.
 
WOW I think this is HOT cause Newegg has them for about $160 shipped and I can only spend up to $150 with a paypal one day Credit card limit :disgust:

Dell suck. Web site indicate they have it in stock and order status says not in stock. Will ship no later than 1/18/2002. What a bunch of BS.

I didn't order this drive, but I agree, their web store does suck. Apparently they have no clue on how to track inventory, while other stores have little if no problem tracking inventory.
