I purchased this from buy.com and can verify that it works properly (although I have not tried every feature).
Generally, I think that Promise has a good reputation, since this is not liking buying a generic sound card.
Go to buy.com and search for "Promise Sound". Description is:
"PCI sound card 64 voice, 128 instrument, 44 drums, fully SoundBlaster and SoundBlaster Pro compatible."
The product is a 1998 design. It looks to me to be the best value if you don't want to get an SBLive or equivalent.
BTW, I could have subtraced $10 and said "add 145 boxes of paper clips to bring this up to $100" and thereby put "$10.63" in the subject line - but I'm not that silly --- usually.
