You might want to edit your post to avoid the LOCK.........They don't allow coupon codes here.:disgust:

I'd recommend hyper-linking to a coupon site like Techbargains or the like where peeps can go look it up.......

Just my $.02

F*** ME. I just bought it for $150 shipped from creative's store. This is a GREAT DEAL! Stick in a 128MB SmartMedia card that it supports, and you'll be set for life with WMA!!!!!!!!

i just sold my nomad ii, awesome mp3 player. my bro may end up getting one of these (he used to use mine *grin*). since they don't have the pouch in this version, anyone know where you could pick one up? when i had mine i wouldn't use it without the leather one, just didn't want to scratch it up.

Is this IIc the same size as the II? I heard it did not have the FM tuner, are there any other differences between the 2? I am wondering if it is worth selling my $50 emusic II and upgrade to this one.

Also, is the 128 Mb card supported for both?

Thanks

the nomad IIc is the same body as the original nomad ii. only this one replaces the FM tuner w/ 32mb onboard memory and is expandable with a 128mb smartmedia card, the original nomad w/ 0mb onboard is not expandable with 128mb, only 64mb right now (unless creative updates their firmware). depends how much memory you need and if you want the FM tuner.

I'm new here....is this a good deal Its seems like not too many people are raving about it. I did a search on pricewatch and this is by far the cheapest for this unit.

Anyone have any other opinions or options as far as other mp3 players?

Thanks

The Compaq IPaq at Best Buy is $130 after $50 MIR. You could pricematch at Staples and use a $30 coupon making it .$100 net!. Not bad for a 64 mb player. The only downside I've read about the IPaq is AAA batteries that only last about 6 hours...and there aren't rechargeable AAAs to my knowledge

There definitely are AAA rechargeable batteries. I have a pack o Nexcells that I got from some threads posted here before.

I think it's a great deal on a good MP3 player/recorder. However, if you really want the FM receiver, Creative does produce the Nomad II w/ 32 megs built in flash memory for $125 delivered. I took me a while to find it on the web b/c most major vendors don't carry it.

It has similar specs to the IIc, ie no docking station, headphones, remote, or carry case, etc.

Here's the link to a Pricegrabber search
[The picture on the link is wrong, you're NOT getting the Nomad IIMG]
