Hey Vanns.com has a coupon posted on their site when you log on for 15 off of 150. I bought a pair of Klipsch Promedia 2.1 for 164.95 which includes UPS ground shipping. Not a stupendous deal but pretty decent. Newegg does them for $180 shipped. There is also a 25 off of 250 and a 50 off of 500. Coupons expire Feb 28.

Anyone looking for speakers in this price range might want to consider the Logitech z560 instead. If you search the forum, I think I saw a deal at Gateway for a similar price.

I have heard and use both. I'd go for the Klipsch as well -- Not by much though.

Isn't the Logitech z560 a 4.1 surround package? I just need a stereo set. I've heard good stuff about the Promedia setup, and I love the sound of Kilpsch's home stereo speakers with the horns. We'll see how they sound when they show up Friday !

Doesnt the 2.1s have a different sub then the promedia 4.1s?
I seem to recall it possibly even has only 1 speaker in the sub rather than 2?

You are correct.
But from people that have compared them side by side haven't been able to tell a huge difference.
