Gnurb, if you have a factory cassette radio in your car, it may be possible to use an Alpine cd changer with it. You would need the protocol adapter. Use a good search engine and search for "cd changer interface". Online Car Stereo has a lot of these, as does Autotoys. Crutchfield might have them as well.

well, I have the AIWA x227 and the MA-01 and I love them both. I have had the x227 for about a year, and the MA-01 for about a month. I bought them because they have the front audio input, which I use to plug in my laptop and watch movies on trips. The x127 is basically just the x227 without the removable face. I screwed the face on anyways, so not a big deal to me. I love music, but I am not one to spend a lot on car audio. I listen to mostly punk and ska. You don't need a big amp and subwoofer for that. Both units put plenty of volume through my infinity speakers without an amp of any kind. I have owned pioneer and kenwood and alpine, but I spent way too much on them. I am much happier with what I have now. Everything I want at half the price. I am very impressed with the quality of AIWA products. I also love crutchfield! Talk about awesome customer service! This is a hot deal. Jump on it.

Its been awhile but i seem to remember being shocked to discover several of these brands were all made by the same 2 companies, i will see if i can find the article again.....until then . Bump

If u guys are looking for a fairly cheap mp3 cd for your car cruthfield has a sony six disc mp3 cd changer for 150 dollars and a sony cassette deck with changer controls and there is a 20 rebate on the bundle. There is also a 20 off referal code thing if u search google for cruthfield codes so your total drops to 210

Personally, I just bought an alpine 7872 cd player and infinity 652i speakers for my 96 Jetta GL from www.ikesound.com a couple days ago. From what I've heard, this is going to be an AWESOME bang for buck setup. Only $200!

Any1 else shop from Ikesound.com? the prices are so much lower than crutchfield!
I just got a kenwood kdc 2019 from crutchfield..dunno if i should return it and get soemthig cheaper.
