Staples (like many places) has reduced the Epson 780 Photo printer to $99.98. This printer has been replaced by a newer model, so who knows what availablity will be like.

Link

6 color
2880 DPI
USB or Parallel
4 picoliter

$99.98 + paper clips to get above $100 - $25 off $100 coupon = $75

You could probably try price matching somewhere if you want to go to the trouble.

That's a very nice 6-color printer for $75, if you can get over it's cheapy iMac-esque look. Capable of borderless prints, too.

780 is 6 ink... 880 is 4.

880 better for text, ok for pics.

Wow.. I'm surprised that you guys like this printer so much. I regret choosing the 780 over any* HP printers. You will* buy a lot of ink because this one needs a lot of cleaning and that uses lotsa ink. I suggest getting the 880 if you really wanna get an Epson.. it's less noisy i think. And o yeah.. this printer is very slow comparing to HP printers. (even w/ the SPEED print mode!!) :|

If you primarily want to print photos or if having true photo quality is important then buy ANY Epson 6 color printer.

They do use a lot of ink, but you can refill them yourself if you don't mind going to a little extra trouble. It is worth the cost savings.

This model is fairly loud and fairly slow from what I have read about it, but when you see an 8X10 that looks like it came from a photo-processing place everything else will seem like a reasonable price to pay.

this does use a good amount of ink, but it's not too bad and most printers do now. but this thing gives amazing photos and can do borderless prints. i love it, great price, good find.
