Pacific image 1236P 36bit parallel port scanner for $9.99 after rebates and discounts! It lists at $89.99 but costs $69.99, then take the coupon discount, and then take off the $40 mail in rebate, and you get a final price of $9.99. But shipping is $10.00 for UPS ground and I am in AZ and they charged me tax so your mileage may vary....

Looks like Vstore

OK OK !!! I took the time to make a poll. PLease click up there on the right to do my silly poll ^

So it ended up costing $19.99 + tax shipped, after $40 rebate?
That web site (vstore) refused to cooperate for me, so I gave up.
Instead, found this deal at Staples.

Umax Astra 2000P (if it's anything like my Astra 610P it's a POS).
$79.97 - $25 off $75 coupon.
Add Kodak Funsaver camera $14.99 - $14.99 camera coupon.
Free shipping. Total payment $54.97
Send in Umax rebate -$20
Final cost $34.97 shipped

So is it worth the extra $15 to get the Umax + free camera, compared to the Pacific Image scanner?

RobsTV,
you might want to check out the Best Buy B&M store. The Umax Astra 2000P is $39.50 (Closeout) minus a $20 mail in rebate. Get lucky at a store that only has the display unit with everything but a UPC for the mail in rebate and you'll be able to walk out with the display unit for about $15.

Aceman,
Thanks for the post. You can price match this off the BestBuy website and it says Instock with free shipping.

39.50 for scanner
14.99 for camera

subtract
20 for coupon
14.99 for camera
20 for rebate

This didn't take into account the tax you will be charged.

Some CSR's will not let you use the camera to get to the necessary 50.00 so you may have to add something to your deal.

Could someone please post the link for the rebate. Now that we have posted this deal I don't expect them to stay in stock long since it will proliferate to other boards. If you want a basically free camera and scanner you better buy it today.

Does anyone know if the USB Memorex scanner (that was 59.99 at staples this past week, 40 with a coupon) is any good? Model 6136U, I think?

Doesn't it have to be in stock to get the PM? Also, I have heard they are not allowing coupons with a pricematch in the same deal? Anyone heard this?

Nickel,
Yes it does have to be in stock. Use this URL.
http://www.bestbuy.com/detail.asp?e=11001431&m=488&cat=509&scat=510

I have had MANY problems with Staples but never had a problem with them not taking a coupon with a price match. I doubt they have changed the rule just today. I did two different price matched item transactions today and used coupons on both. Btw, one was a Sheba deal on another site. She is a Staples Queen, too :)

So if you had that problem talk to a Supervisor ,write down the names, and then just try to get a different CSR if you still have problems.

It wouldn't surprise me if Staples would change the policy on this, though. I have had some gigantic price matches and then to add a 40 off coupon leads to low margin.

Where is the UMAX rebate? I don't see it on their site or Staples site.
Edit:
Oh well it would help if I would let it download all the way. My boyfriend was too busy checking out the picture of Rose promo

Search for the rebate on UMAX's site. Took me a while but there is on for just the scanner.
