Someone mentioned this in a different thread but since that thread was about the Staples deal, I figured I post it here. OfficeMax has it for $299.98 with a free Lexar 64MB flash card. Go to OfficeMax, click on the $50 off $250 link. Than paste this link in the same window:

*********************
** Edit
** Go here instead
** Order by number order by item # and
** enter BUND5077 with a quantity of however many you want. Thanks Zimtek
*********************

For some reason I couldn't search on A70 but I got this link from one of them price search engines. It appears that this deal will last as long as the coupon is good (6/13), they lowered the price from $349.98 to $299.98, although I'm not sure they're throwing in the flash card.

I got in on this but it's back ordered so we'll see.

Thank you tnguyen3in1!

I had ordered the Canon A70 through Dell a couple of weeks ago for a net of about $270+ and it was backordered till 5/2, but today they sent me an e-mail further delaying it till 5/13.

Thanks to your post, I have now ordered it through OfficeMax for $250 (okay, so OM charged me tax, but they bundled in a 64 MB CompactFlash card, and that makes up for it).

I'm spending and saving my way to the poor house.

Steve

Edit: OfficeMax has just notified me that ETA for delivery is 5/6. Bye bye, Dell...hello, OfficeMax!

do you guys prefer A70 over S200? Other than A70 being 3.1mp, what's the advantage over s200? or S230 in that matter?

180 seconds is only for 160x120 and 320x240. the vga mode that the a70 has doesnt last for 3 minutes

if i were u, i'd get the a70. batteries are AA, so its so much cheaper and easier to replace.

I wouldn't unless you really need those extra features. But it all boils down to what's more important the $50 or the extra features. I figured since I'm spending $200, another $50 isn't that much more:p
