Warm?? Boston Acoustics BA4800 $128

I just happened to run across these at Onvia while I was looking for some new speakers. They have them in stock anf they are $128. The lowest price I could find elsewhere is $139.

andylawcc: don't forget onvia charges shipping, the cheapest method: ground costs $12 and then CA residents pay tax so after all that it's more than $150 and I bet you got yours shipped overnight

I'm seriously thinking about getting these speakers, what's your opinions on them?

they are quite nice, it DOES take a while to like,
at first I was like, "urg, there are ok.."
but after a week or so, I love them.
a great alternative to Klipsch.... (I am not paying extra 100 for klipsch's bass which I CANNOT USE. since its so loud, no way I can use it.)

I have these speakers. Got them as an anniversary present from my wife about 6 months ago, when they still ran for about $199 - I think I paid a little less like 179. Let me tell you these speakers are excellent, with great tonal quality and a nice thumping bass. They also can get pretty loud - at least too loud for my apartment, and they are great for 3d sound.

Great for music, great for games; I highly recommend them.

BTW, I listened to several other sets of speakers at local stores before settling on these. They beat out the soundworks by far, the midilands too. Never got to hear the Klipsch, tho.
