thought i'd offer it out there since i was in the market for this case.

$100 free shipping
next cheapest was newegg with 110

I wanted this particular case, and a coupon i had for $10 off made this even better, (i got that from that 9800 Radeon pro 256mb) fiasco

Might be a good deal if you want this particular case, however newegg has a bunch of LianLi cases that start as low as $90 which I believe would be much better deal than sonata...

Considering that the LianLi cases come w/o PSU, while the Antec Sonata comes with an SL380 TruePower, probably not a better deal.

this would make it cheaper than newegg....especially if your in CA.....i dont think amazon hit CA residents for tax...is that correct?

Correct. For the last few purchases with amazon, I wasn't charged any sales tax at all. Actually, I can't remember amazon charging me tax in quite a long long time.

Actually the finish on mine is a slight bit scratched from when I put the case on a table to work on it... some particle scratched the finish around area around the holes that say "Antec." Great case otherwise, if a bit expensive.

Nice price.

My only concern is the finish--how easily does it get scratched?

Very easily. My brother managed to scratch my sidepanel within 10 minutes of opening the box. The finish is like that on a car, but without the protection of clearcoat.

Great case and Amazon is the best place to buy it from because of the free shipping.

I think this case is only $82.37 today only at ebuyer.com w/ shipping it came to $92.70 to CA (tax in AZ only)

reg price is 87.63

I've bought from ebuyer before w/ no probs.

edit: go to ebuyer.com and search for Antec Sonata 380

hey thanks kenrippy

i ordered from ebuyer(1st time)....they had a lil box that said "Deliver by: Mon 12th Apr 2004 (Ground Service) "

does that mean guaranteed by that date???

my total to CA was $93.32

My experience with eBuyer's shipping dates is that they way overestimate the time it will take to get to you. You'll probably get your case before the 12th. The Sonata isn't a bad case by any means, but I prefer the SLK3700-BQE. It's bascially the same case, but with better front fan mounts, and for less.

yeah, you'll have your case way earlier than that. i like to buy their el cheapo $19.99 cases w/ 300w psu (free shipping) for the budget systems i'm always building. if you do a search for JNC & KINGCASE you'll see what i'm talking about.

Great case, see sig. for modded one.

nice window. how did u do it? don't tell me antec makes one with a window now...

Nope it's a Cubanx original 🙂
Head over to the "Case and Cooling" forum to the sticky thread for links for idea's and suppliers. Basically you'll use a Dremel to cut the case window. Results depend on your skill level as there is a risk of you doing a ghetto looking job but that was my first and only case mod.

Is the SLK3700-BQE as quiet as the Sonata?

According to the people on the SilentPCReview Forum, yes.

Make this deal sweeter:
* Cancel your Amazon.com credit card if you have any
* Check your "golden box"--don't buy anything
* After rejecting the last offer from golden box you'll get a banner "Apply for Amazon.com CC and get $30 off your 1st purchase"
* Follow the link, click "new customer"
* If your credit history is not awfull, you'll get approved ;-)

Enjoy!

frys has a 30 dollar rebate on it... bringing it to 79.99AR + tax. but im gonna try amazon with the trick kostya17 proposed. 69 tax free and shipped to my door is a deal. gas is 2.29 (for 87) per gallon here and my truck gets 8mpg, frys is 10 miles away.

UPDATE:
if you are not a US resident... no matter how much money you make or how long youve legally lived here... you will not get approved.
