Hey Folks, first time post, so go easy on me...
Picked up a refurbished AT7 Max Motherboard at excaliber PC for $70 plus shipping, which ended up being around $9 for me.
Complete with 1yr labor & parts warranty, which seemed pretty good given that it's refurbished.
No PS/2, serial or parallel ports, but pretty feature rich for the price

Cheapest price I found on pricewatch for new was @ $120
They also have the IT7 for the same price
The board at excaliberpc

Nice first post. This place has a special relationship with abit-usa. Good retailer with great reseller ratings. This is really a hot deal on the AT7 & IT7! They also have P4 2.4 with guaranteed C1 stepping, something that most retailers cannot do. Looks like an almost 3 gig overclock with the P4 and AT7. Although I had planned to get the Max2, this is too good a geal to pass up. Also, these boards are recertified by Abit themselves, come with a 1 year warranty, and have all the accessories in the retail package. Newegg - eat your heart out.

HOT if you really want four-channel RAID onboard and can live with the fact that these boards are based on chipsets 1-2 generations ago.

I got this board brand new from Fry's for $79.99 + tax a few months back. I absolutely love it. 4 channel RAID allowing up to 12 IDE devices at once. Firewire and USB2.0 also. Currenty have 740GB of storage space running on it 🙂

That's a good point, and one that I had to consider when choosing this board over the newer generation. I quickly found that the newer chipsets (875) offer very few additional advantages when considering the increased cost. That's why I prefer to stay one generation behind.
