I heard at one poimt that TY's were rated for longer storage. 25 Years was the figure I saw.

Anyhoo.....

I picked up 8 spindles. All TY's. I bought the last one they had across from where I work. Made two different orders for store pickup @ sears.com one for 3 spindles, one for 2 spindles. When I went to pickup the instore orders I two $5.00 off my next purchase coupons becuase they pickup center too longer than 5 minutes to fill my order.

So I went upstairs and bought the last two spindles the store had with my coupons and got those two for $4.88 each 😀

OK... I think I have enough CDR's.. I will not buy anymore unless they are TY 50 Packs for < $5 without rebates 😛

Thanks for the deal.

I went to my local Sears. Found the spot on the shelf where these were supposed to be, but it was empty. I asked the rep if he would go check the back to see if there were anymore in stock. He smiled and told me point blank that the store was out of them b/c he had just finished buying all that they had for himself! LOL!!

This deal is still good! I just scored a couple armfulls today at my local Sears (in IL). All made in Japan TYs. They were on a clearance shelf and were still marked at the regular price $29, but they rang up at $9.88. I bought all they had left because I'm sick of rebates on CD-Rs (and there's no limit at Sears!). I should be set for the rest of the year (or a few months at least).

Yup I picked two packs up about a week ago, haven't checked to see if there's still any left. I can confirm that they do burn at 32x though, which was a pleasant surprise when i first burned something with these.
