Warez kids scanning my network???

Damn, I just set up my incoming IP and the first night I got a random hit from some dynamic IP on port 21. Last night I got 2 more hits on port 21 from two other addresses. It's got to be warez mongers looking for public FTP sites.

Does this happen often to everyone else?

Happens all the time...also lots of scans for port 139... looking for windows share.... i have firewalls on all my machines plus one for my network... can never be too careful..

 

That's funny, in the last 10 minutes someone just hit my port 137 (Netbios Name Service) and some French dude scanned my port 21.

I have a firewall up that only ports 21, 22, 80, and 113 get in so I don't care. I think I will take down FTP and just use sftp.
