This is what I like to hear! Thanks Warcrow.

Split/Second
Black Rock Studios worked on Pure which was my favorite racer of 2008 so I was really looking foward to seeing what the team was working on with Split/Second. The good news is that it was fun to play. The bad news is that it has a possibility of being monotonous. I only played the game for about 15 minutes so who knows what will be done in later levels to provide variety in gameplay as I didn?t get a response from the PR guy who was present.

The game looks pretty good with graphics on par with Grid, but not as stunning as Forza 3

I can't remember where I read or saw it but, the further you go in the game the more track events you get to unlock. So, if you run through a track at the beginning you'll only be able to trigger a few collapses/explosions or whatever. Later in the game, you'll be able to run the track and there will be additional collapses/explosions that you can trigger. I guess that adds to the variety but we'll see. I was watching someone demo the game on G4 and it did look like it could get monotonous. The fact that car damage doesn't affect your performance is also a bit underwhelming.

So did you get to sit in Turn 10's huge ass Forza 3 demo machine with the three screens and racing seat with hydraulics?

Wow... now I am even more excited about ME2. I found it interesting that Dragon Age between the console/PC is that much different. I suppose that this means that I can hold out hope that the PC version is being left intact??

Forza 3 had HUGE lines and I passed on it mainly because of time. I like Forza 2 a lot but didnt play it much so I'm not sure how useful my opinions will be. It looks fantastic though!

Split/Second was crazy, explosions and building-stoppling-everywhere awesome, but we'll so how it holds peoples attention. new sections of tracks open up at some point just because of the damage to the track. 🙂

I forgot to say thanks for the report too! It must've been exciting to be there. 🙂

Totally my pleasure, and yes it was thrilled I'm not going to lie. I hear some vg jurno's complain and hate E3, but I just cannot relate! Then again, I dont have to run home after the show to write up 32 artciles heh.
