Warcraft III TFT Connection Issue

Alright, so I can connect and stay connected to Battle.net just fine, but i can't stay in a game for a real long period of time.

Sometime, usually within the first 1/2 hour, i'm suddenly disconnected without warning. The strange part is, it's instantaneous; there's no countdown timer, it just says that i have left the game. This persists through both hosted 'custom' games, and through their matchmaking service as well.

I just bought a new router today, from a D-Link 614+ to a Linksys WRT54G, and the problem was present with both routers, so it's gotta be somethin with my comp or possibly my isp?

Any help would be greatly appreciated =). This is the only game i experience any sort of connection issue with.

I tried connecting my modem directly to my computer, and the problem didn't repeat. It is only when I'm behind the routers, and they're completely different brands of routers and such. It's very perplexing...

I have the same problem. I have a Dl-604 router. I believe my router and windows firewall settings are correct...but I'm open to suggestions of course! The problem appears to random in timing...I get into games and usually at some point in the match I start to lag and then I get disconnected. I do NOT get disconnected from BNET...just from the current game. I have cable interenet with approx 6Mbps down with 768Kbps up so it is not a bandwidth issue. I use to play on dial up with fewer disconnects 🙁 I have done the following:

Dl-604 router settings
- firewall settings - 6112-6119 TCP/UDP open to all IPs
- application settings - also setup for these ports
- recently set the router up to assign Static IP for each Comp on my network so I could forward specific ports to those IPs
- I have even tried the DMZ setting (to allow open access in/out to the net) for the comp that I was playing on

- tried with xp firewall on (w/ exceptions for ports 6112-6119 TCP open)
- tried with xp firewall off

Nothing has worked for me on a consistent basis!

Any experiences/help would be appreciated!

One last comment...

I even tried connecting without my router...I still get disconnected 🙁

I never lose internet connectivity though...I always have good dowload/upload rates and ping times 🙁

is there anyone else that has been experiencing problems with BNET lately???
