Warcraft III restarting my comp?

I know that strictly speaking this should be in the technical issues forum, but I already posted there and have no responses. Since more people are in OT hopefully someone can clue me in as to wtf is going on.

I was playing WCIII when all of a sudden my system just restarts. No warning, no shutdown, it is like the reset button has just been hit. I thought it was a fluke so I tried a few more times, and when I load my save game (Night Elf mission 6) and play for a few minutes it always causes my system to reboot. My WC is fully patched and my comp is running Win XP Pro with all the hotfixes. I checked the event viewer, and every time my comp is restarted the following error message is logged:

AMLI: ACPI BIOS is attempting to read from an illegal IO port address (0xcfc), which lies in the 0xcf8 - 0xcff protected address range. This could lead to system instability. Please contact your system vendor for technical assistance.

For more information, see Help and Support Center at http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/events.asp.

Any ideas? I have no idea what is causing this error, other than it is something that WC is attempting to do that causes the crash.

Thanks for the reply.

I went to Blizzard's site and searched the support area, could find nothing of use. I went to the forums but their search function is disabled there so it will be impossible to find anything relevant.

Any more ideas people?

Nope, no overclocking, it is a Athlon 1.33ghz on an Abit KG-7 with 512MB of Crucial 2100 (2x256). Also, my video card is a Radeon 7500.

Well if it's any help to you, when this occured to me, I figured it was because either a. my power supply sucks or b. the power supply for my house sucks

but this only happens when I play war3, not CS or anything else

but if you figure something out let me know, cuz i'm tempted to get tft to play war3 with some friends

there was also a bios update (or something of the sort) for an issue directx/athlon chipsets

AND

there is a microsoft update for a directx problem causing computers to restart

sorry I don't remember more, but it's been awhile
