Does anyone know if there is any checksum check done on the War3 executable on connect to battle.net?

The real question is, can I play on battle.net using a NO-CD patch as long as the key is good?
Nocd patches are just too convenient to ignore.

Annoying :(

Oh well, guess I'll have to put the CD in every time I wanna play on B.net then, but one would think Blizzard would realize the CD copy protection isn't what keeps people from copying it.
It's either good ole "supporting a good company", or the need for a CD key to play on B.net, people who don't care for either are just gonna copy the CD and use a crack, and the rest of us will be left with the inconvenience for no good reason :|

Just wondering what is the point of a no CD crack?

War3 hardly ever uses the CD during gameplay or load time, so thats not an issue.

1. The game takes less time to load because it does not have to access the cdrom drive
2. You don't have to remember to put the cd in before you load the game
3. Saves your cdrom drive from unnecessary wear and tear

What warsong said, and the fact that I do play other games as well, so I wont have to swap CD's every time I change game(though as of late, there hasn't been much else besides War3 ;))
