warcraft 3 big battles lag

Hi, im running an e4300@2.7, 8800gts and 2 gigs of ram. Is it normal that i get lag in big battles for formats like 3v3/4v4? I would expect that processor to handle the old game perfectly :\

Hmm, what resolution are you running at?

hmm, definitely shouldnt, i got a similar setup and it runs fine at max res.

i get the same thing too with my desktop (see sig). i still cant figure out why it does that. it only happens if tons of effects are going on...sometimes it even gets stuttery if i move around the map.

Try toggling off the 3D sound option. A friend of mine had problems with what seemed to be video lag that would end up DC'ing him from B.net, ended up being some bug with the 3D sound. There's absolutely no reason for actual video lag on your system.
