War3: Actual game screen is so dark it's black

I just recently installed XP on this system. I'm using Omega/Plutoniums 1.18 drivers. The actual controls are displayed fine, but the actual game screen is so black I can't even play.

Any ideas?

Go to options/video in war3 and turn up the gamma dial.

Adjust the brightness/contract in your display settings, if there are any. Do the same for your notebook's display.


 
hehe, yea another person said that to me on another forum.
I'm not such an idiot as you guys think - I have tried basic things like that. They just make the graphics horribly white & jagged.

I tried uninstalling the old Omega drivers & installing some older versions & now War3 won't even start 😛

hehe, yea thanks. I've tried running War3 in swtnl mode on my laptop & it doesn't work.
truthfully without the video card in that rig, War3 would run pretty slow.

& the other 2 steps are basically "update your video card drivers" 😛 lol - I've tried that..
