This is the cloud from a 2000 pound JDAM we dropped from a B-1 Lancer. This pic was taken by one of my buddies at our COP over 10 kilometers away from the blast. I was on the ground and close to it when it went off. It sucked the air out of my lungs, deafened me, and lifted a truck slightly on two wheels. It was the most powerful thing I've ever experienced and can't imagine what a bomb over 20,000 pounds will do.

When it comes to raw tonnage ordinance delivered, nothing beats the Iowa's. I'm curious why the US Navy never pursued scramjet rounds for the 16" guns though. That would have given them significantly greater range.
