Is it a good idea to pull a little swicheroo on some pictures they are leeching? I know it could be hilarous, but could I be, in the end, be in trouble?

Here goes the list of LOSERS

Loser 1
LOSER 2

So they aren't leeching that much, but still, I'm gonna make an example. Anyone have any ideas ?

Ah heck, its costing me more bandwidth to launch war, but its well worth the extra .... 50 cents or so i'll pay to get a good laugh.

Yes. Yes it is.

Put something terrible in their places.
Then make a picture with some sort of "A letter has been sent to your ISP" text in it.

If they don't stop, write their ISP a letter.

I remember a thread some time ago about that. Someone running a webserver noticed a guy linking to some of his BMW pics on some forum, so he replaced them with pics of homosexual icons (not gay pr0n, however, just rainbow "Celebrate Diversity" flags and stuff).

I say go for it.

Alrighty then, time to start "Operation Takedown!"

Time to pull out the server logs and check out who's leeching what, and what to edit on my own site so I won't be hit by my own doing.

Before, it was some random clipart and other general images.

Now, its just trash found on the street.

No need to go any more hardcore, good enough.

If you post a webpage, but use image tags pointing to someone else's hosted images, you are leeching their bandwidth.

Host your own images.

I'd post the newer pics, with some photoshop work done on them with a message like "Tell the webmaster of that page to USE THEIR OWN PICTURES!". That should get their friends to let the webmasters know of the bad pics and change them asap.
