We can get sick and die when we go to foreign countries and drink their water. Well, in exactly the same way, the aliens had no immunity to our bacteria and they got sick and died.

Too bad in their millions of years of planning and general technological advantage they couldnt think of something to keep them healthy.

the movie was never about the story. it was more about all the special effects.

I've never read the book and I havent seen the original movie, but my gf and I really enjoyed this movie.
