I'm just wondering if anyone has a link to an updated CD-key grabber for War III and War III TFT (ver.1.15? 1.16), so I can get my own cd-key b4 reinstalling. Plz no flaming, I'm only looking for the grabber, not someone to give me a free CD-key.

because the terms of agreement you were supposed to read when you signed up clearly indicate that software piracy and related activities are prohibited here. you should just take the friendly warnings and erase it before your @ss gets busted man.

Instead of telling me I'm wrong, I'm sure a reference to what is appropriate might be more helpful. Do ppl like flaming just cuz I said I didn't want any? What happened to online manners?

Explain to me how getting my own cd-key is piracy, there's a difference between a cd-key grabber and a cd-key generator.

Why dont you look in your registry to check what your cd key is then.

He's not going to get "busted" - I've had my "help me get a no-cd crack for BF1942 because EA sucks at CD-making" posts get locked, but never was I given a vacation for them.

Besides, why not give him the benefit of the doubt? It's not like you don't have pirated software on your computer :)

Blizzard doesn't want anyone that can work an MPQ viewer to be able to get a cd-key off any old computer...The cd-key is encrypted. Hence why I need the grabber.

think about it. there's really no way we can verify that you're actually using a legit cd. now i'll go ahead and give you credit and assume this is for nothing devious. but...what if someone goes ahead and posts up the grabber and someone else uses it for piracy. sure, in your case none ocurred but nonetheless the forums became a conduit for illegal software use. suddenly it becomes liable for unintended consequences of your actions.

it's a much easier gig if there's no piracy on the boards at all.
