War Demonstrators a little extreme.

Watching the news tonight. They were talking about all the war demonstrations going on around the country today. I saw this lady in the New York demonstration yelling at a cop through a mega phone. Political issues aside, i think this nutbag should have gone to jail. There is a difference between voicing your opinion and being a jack@ss. I dont care if you have a sign that says "bomb the f out of Iraq," or one that says to "stay out of Iraq," what is this cop going to do? Go to Bush and tell him not to go to war b/c some nutbag made him loose his hearing for an hour? I saw plenty of other people voicing their opinion about the war, but only those few retards going to the extreme...

From what my friend told me, the NYC one was a friggin joke. Thousands of people ragging on cops, saying "F*ck you Fascists" and being total assholes. Can't stand sh*t like that. Lets have those guys put on a NYC police officers uniform and patrol the streets.

Those NYC cops could've just became cops in Nassau or Suffolk county and gotten paid $100k+ a year, but they're making about half that in a place that is exponentially more dangerous.

Meh, let them come to Arkansas. Police are considered property of the state. Bad mouth police from other states and it's fine, but do it in AR and they can arrest you for abusing state property :p

Yelling at the cops seems stupid but is it illegal? Not sure how that works.

not illegal but if you're being belligerent to the cops i'd expect them to take your megaphone away

Most of the protesters in NYC just wanted to wail against authority under the cover of "peace march". It could have been a protest about anything and they'd show up.

Yeah, I saw some of the "peace mongers" throwing molitov cocktails at the demonstrations. Really brought home the message they were trying to convey, y'know?

You realize that most of these "protests" were setup by Anti-Globalization groups? The reason why I didn't go. I'm against War in general, but not defense, and I'm certainly not into the paranoid/conspiracy delusions that most of these groups have.

They were all pretty much hijacked by regular people anyways.
