GTX 570, HD6970 are the top two IMO. Unless you can pay the extra $150 or so to get a GTX 580.

The GTX 570 and HD 6970 can max the game out at 1920x1200 with MSAA off (the 6970 has issues with MSAA in that the performance tanks fiercely when it's enabled).

I've researched this for myself as I've been eyeing an upgrade. Leaning toward a GTX 570 because it has no MSAA slowdown issues and it's around $150-$200 cheaper than a GTX 580 which is almost half the cost of a 2nd 570.

under $200? a GTX 560 Ti is $250. A 6950 is around the same price. maybe you could find some stock on a GTX 480 or something and snag it cheap, I dunno.

Thats a decent find for sure. As far as deals go, i seen several 200$ 480s in the forums and around other places. A friend of mine even got an Asus GTX480 from a surplus vender for like $235. he keeps goin on and on about it, i got a link if your interested.

fyi, the 480 should be a bit better than the 1g 6950 in BF3. I am just not sure how the ram castrated caymans will do in BF3.

If you can wait..... there is also supposed to be a new gf110 based card from nvidia just around the corner, in just a few weeks. It could effectively cause a market price shift for both nvidia cards as well as AMD. I expect to see more and more deals as the holidays approach and the money your talking will be the sweet spot for sure!
