This will be the first case modding I will partake in, so I was wondering where I could find some informative resources on the subject. If you're familiar with the Super Lanboy, it has a door which has nearly no clearance on the left and right side on the top half, a polished aluminum midpiece with Audio in/out ports, 2 USB ports, vertical, 3 lights, reset button, and power button. I'm wanting to essentially replace the entire front. I'm interested in having a clear door on the front, with plenty of clearance for drives, so that I can put a large fan controller in it. The bottom USB port doesn't have the little white insert in it, so I can't use it very effectively. If pics are required, I can supply them. I'd like to still have some sort of LED light on the front (power led), but I'd like to darken it. I have installed a new 120mm fan in the front, and am not using the blue cover because it restricts airflow and increases noise.

(EDIT) So, I'm thinking that the best first step would be instructions on how to remove the front cover of the computer. And how to replace it, should I be unable to finish the replacement in a timely manner.

Alright, so, thanks for the info, and bring on the flames. I've got fire retardant gear.

Well, after looking at the pictuer of the case, I'm pretty sure it would be about a bitch to remake a whole new front panel... A couple ideas though:

1. you could make a clear front drive bay door.. I'm thinking get a sheet of plexi cut it to the right height (make sore that the width is a bit longer than needed for now) find something cylindrical that you can clamp it on top of and heat up to shape the plexi so it bows out. Then trim the edges so it matches up, add a couple pins for the hinge holes, and possible some kind of latch, and you've got a new bay cover
2. you could just cut a hole the size of the drives in the drive bay door, and throw some spacers on the sides/top/bottom to get the height you need for your F/C to fit, and cover it with a piece of plexi.

To get the whole front cover off, ussually there are either several latches which can be seen from inside the case, which you remove. I generally unlatch them from top to bottom. or there are 4-6 screws that are removed from the inside of the case. My antec P160 has a grip on the bottom of the front bezel that you pull outwardly on and the case front pops off, whatever you're dealing with you'll be able to tel by looking at the inside front of the case.
