hey all
i am a new student at indiana university and really want to get one of these new cool ass pda computers to use for various things...
i was looking at some on the net and it seems the best one available would be the sony clie nx70...it has tons of cool features like the digital camera, mp3 playing, color, awesome design (like a flip phone), voice recording, remote control, plus all the other stuff the rest of them have...
i was wondering if anyone here has one of these, and are they worth the 600$? or is there an even better one i could buy...currently im planning on getting one during december or early january before 2nd semester starts...will any other new PDAs be out by then with cool new technologies? ive got a decent amount of money i can spend on this so thats not too much of a question....i mean i dont want to spend 500$ on a piece of junk that is really fragile and doesnt have a lot of capabilities...
also i have a question about the wireless LAN capability that can be used with these....the 820.11b i believe its called....
would i be able to use this with my campus's network free of charge? i dont know how the thing works...does it plug into my desktop computer and then transmit a signal to the PDA? or does it connect to the network entirely by the PDA? please let me know im anxious about getting one of these things....they just look so damn cool!!
