Wanting to do some tv recording and watch it on my TV.

Looking at these 2 solutions. the 350 to record and the MVP to get it to the tv.
I would have gone with the 250 but I foundthe 350 for cheaper price.
If you know where to get the 250 for less that $119, please share.

The 250 is just pricey becuase it has been out of production for a while and the 150 is it's replacement. The 150 would likely do you fine unless there is something specific about the 350 that you need.
 
I like the idea of the Wonder Elite. This will actuall be used more by my wife to tape shows she misses. I gotta keep her happy. Has to be great quality.
