I am strapped for cash, buying parts for another PC is not really an option so I thought I would use my current PC. (I use my PowerMac G5 as my main box and only the PC for gaming and when I need windows so keeping everything in the same room is needed)
1.) My living room and bedroom are less than 15 ft apart, I can easy run video/audio out from my PC to my TV with just longer than normal cables right?
2.) Being able to watch and record at the same time is something I want to do. The Hauppauge PVR 500 is $139 with no remote. I can buy two OEM (no remote/fm) PVR 150s for $100. Why spend the extra $39 on the 500?
3.) What is my solution for a remote control? Remember, the box will not be in the living room. Plus neither of the tuner cards I am looking to buy come with a remote. Also to note, I do not have digital cable/set top box so I don't need an ir blaster.
