Hello everyone! I am looking for a new monitor for myself. I play a lot of PC games, especially FPS like Black Ops 3. I also do a lot of typing for school and programming. In addition, I also watch a lot of YouTube, Hulu, and Netflix as well as some mild photo editing (though not often). Right now I have a dual monitor setup on a VESA mount with two Dell E2414H. The specs for my current monitors are:

> LED backlight TN LCD.
> 1080p with a 60Hz refresh rate and an anti-glare coating.
> 5ms (black to white) response time.
Further specs for my current monitors can be found at:

The two monitors I have now have been fairly good for my needs, but I am ready for an upgrade. In Black Ops 3 I am noticing quite a bit of screen tearing and cannot get it to go away from messing with the game settings or the settings in Nvidia Control Center. I get a solid 60 FPS or higher in game, but the screen tearing is there, even with V-sync turned on. Also, the viewing angles are kind of crappy on my current monitor, I don't have to move very far for some of the colors to start inverting. Though it would be nice to upgrade both monitors to stay consistent in my dual setup, my primary concern is to at least upgrade my main display. I would really like to spend $200 or less on a new monitor but an willing to push that budget a bit.

At this time I have been searching around on Amazon, Newegg, Microcenter, and Best Buy (as well as some other places) for monitors and am really struggling to decide on which to get. I am very interested in the 144Hz monitors available now because of their performance, but hear that the color reproduction on most of those panels is crap. I have also been very interested in the IPS panels for their viewing angles and color reproduction but hear their performance is not up to par with other designs. Quad HD would be pretty cool, but it's fine as long as the monitor is 1080p or better... So I would like to get some input from some of you all on that.

Here are some monitors I have been eyeing on Amazon right now:
Acer R240HY bidx 23.8-Inch IPS 1080p

Acer GN246HL Bbid 24-Inch 3D Gaming Display 144Hz TN

Anyone have any experience with one of these three monitors? Anyone have any suggestions that may help me in picking out a new monitor? Any and all help is much appreciated!
