Wanted: windows software to emulate two features from OSX

I want to replicate two features from OSX in windows 7.

First, is there a explorer replacement/modification that allows folder navigation similar to this? The triangles on the left can be clicked to expand/collapse that folder's contents, all in a single window.

Second, I want the spacebar preview. No screenshot of this, but for tons of file types (I'm mostly after image types including EPS and PDF), you can select a file and hit space and you'll get a fast, large preview of it. Then use arrow keys to navigate within the folder you're in and it'll keep popping up previews for the selected files.

you can already use tree navigation in windows 7, enable the navigation pane

XP had filmstrip view, which sort of sounds like what you want. its gone in 7. i hated it but whatever. they do have a preview pane you can enable and then just go through images and docs to get a preview

Tree navigation only shows the contents of a single folder in a window at a time. My screentshot sucks for asking what I'm after. Here's one far more representative of what I'm after.

I want to view files in several places in the tree, all at once, in a single window. My original screenshot shows the folder I'm interested in viewing this way - my 'xOriginals' folder often ends up with dozens of files from different sources and the structure below is how I keep it all organized.

Shown below, the triangles are clickable. The ones pointing down are expanded, the ones pointing right are not.

That doesn't work well for me, as I've typically got several folders open at a time, only one of which I really need to preview at a time and moving a window to make room for it to be large enough to accommodate the preview pane is just plain annoying.. I've seen Macomfort but based on the wording, the $20 Standard license seems to contain ads, which just isn't cool. The Premium version is $60, which... if there's nothing else out there, I might do.
