Wanted: Tips for Streamlining Non-Networking Win2K

senior guy

Senior member
I've got to believe that Win2K installs a lot of excess baggage (resource-consuming overhead) that is totally unecessary for those of us who are not connected to any network... So I would really appreciate receiving some tips from you Win2K gurus on how to make a non-networking Win2K system run "leaner and meaner". 😎

Thanks (again) cirrus1 - that's a real good start... Anyone else know of any other tips for streamlining a non-networking Win2K system?

Thanks for your help Muadib; but if you are implying that I could have somehow clicked on help to find out how to create the link, I just don't see it (maybe it's the blindfold)! 😱

Help doesn't tell you how to do it, but it points you in the right direction:

Message Body the body of your message. Below the message body box, there is a link that explains how to use HTML in your message posts.

It's talking about the line below the reply button:

No HTML code is allowed in posts. Special symbols allow some HTML functionality.

Click on symbols.

Yep I was also thinking about publishing that "Tips & Tricks" thread. Has some good info in it 😀
