Recently bought a Palm TX and the install disk was not included. Since palm is very nice they decided not to let you download the software from their website but will gladly mail you a disk in 7-10 days.

If anyone has a palm TX and would be kind enough to create an ISO of the install disk I can provide an FTP server to upload the image.

Thanks.

Yeah I noticed the other day I couldn't download some stuff from there but they wanted money to send you a freaking CD. What is going on?

They have downloads for most of the older palm versions but all the newer versions the software is "not available yet". Not sure if they are saving bandwidth costs or making money off selling replacement CD's

uhhh, can't you just use the normal hotsync software, last time I checked it worked with all Palm branded devices without extra drivers.

I have read that the old hotsync will let me talk to the device but most of the advanced functions (syncing to Outlook) can only be used if you install from the TX disk.

I have a Palm Tungsten disk that supports sync to Outlook, not sure about the other features you're looking for.

Thank you for the offer but from what I have read on the Palm forums the software for the TX and Z22 series is a different version than the one that supports all the previous Tugnsten series.

If I can find out if an older version will have everything I need I'll send a PM.

Michael

Thank you!!!!

I tried to send a PM but it said you were not accepting PM's If you would prefer I can email or IM the info.

Does anyone still have a iso or cd image of this disk? If so can you upload it to somewhere to have me download it?

Here ya go, direct from HP who owns the Palm system. 🙂

I hope that's what you need. Don't be suprised when I will lock this thread in awhile because it's over seven years old, but I'll give you some time to reply in case you have any problems with the above link.
