Hello all,

Perhaps my Google-Fu is lacking, but I can't seem to find if anyone has compiled a list of released X470 boards that have a built-in base clock generator. I've found a list of previous AM4 motherboards that have been released, including the ones with BCLK on board:

https://www.reddit.com/r/Amd/comments/61j6ea/am4_motherboards_update_032517/

But, as you can see, it hasn't been updated in a while. I was hoping that someone had already put in the data work so I wouldn't have to reinvent the wheel again.

According to the websites, the following X470 boards include an on board clock generator:
ASROCK X470 Taichi
ASUS ROG Crosshair VII Hero
(that's all I've found so far)
[EDIT TO ADD BOARDS FROM BELOW REPLIES]
MSI x470 M7 AC BTW
Gigabyte Aorus Gaming 7

Anyone know of any more?

Thanks in advance!

So I am sorry that I don't have a full list for you, but I can confirm that the MB I just bought for my new 2700x does in fact have its own Independent External Base Clock Generator, in their marketing they call it "OC Engine 2".

This is the MSI x470 Gaming M7 AC BTW, and a surprisingly good board. I am one of those weirdo's that for some reason only ever buys ASUS M-Boards, this has always been because they always seem to have the best Quality Boards, with the most feature rich BIOS. This however, for the last 3 or 4 years has started to fade, and the last few FLAGSHIP Motherboards that I have purchased from ASUS have all disappointed me, my Crosshair 6 Hero was the most recent example of this.

Anyways, despite that, I was still going to pick up the Crosshair 7 Hero for my new 2700x because it had great reviews and I wanted to believe they had finally come out with another quality Flagship. So I go onto Newegg (This was the day after the 2700x Launched), all Crosshair 7 Hero's were sold out, Wifi or Non Wifi (I Don't need stupid Wifi On a Desktop PC, but would have gladly paid the $20 extra just to be able to order the Board). Then I go to Amazon, same thing. Hit up the Local PC Store that I frequent, and they are out too. So finally I decide to drive down to Frys hoping they have one in stock, they never bother picking up the phone so its better just to go in, and they never even recieved their first shipment, and told me they wouldn't be in until late May. So I decided while I was there to take a chance on the one Flagship x470 they had in stock, and that is this M7 AC, and I have to say I am impressed. If RGB is what you are after, look else where, but if its Overclocking Performance, Stability, and a good amount of Control of your system in the UEFI, then this board certainly, at least so far, does the trick!

Anyways, Sorry for going off on that Tangent there, guess all I really wanted to tell you is you can add this board to the list, and I have been playing with the BCLK Generator, and I LOVE IT! I got me up to a 4.375 all Core Overclock at 1.4V and its Rock Solid Stable, with 3466MHZ Memory at CL15, and this thing I am pretty sure can still take more. It just seems my Corsair H100iV2 is at its Limit, so I am stopping here for now, but am certainly impressed considering my 1600x on the Crosshair took 1.42v to get 3.9Ghz Stable, but its all about that BCLK Generator, when I tried to dial in a similar overclock with just the Multiplier I needed 1.425 Volts, so I got to shave of .025V worth of Heat just by Overclocking with the Base Clock instead.

Anyways, I will shut up now. Good Luck with the Hunt!
